Snorkeling Safari Itinerary

3 Day / 3 Night Snorkeling Trips

  • Departure Day – Transfer service from Khao Lak resorts between 17.45 – 18.45. MV Sawan (aka Reggae Queen) departs once all guests are on board and sails to Koh Bon Island which is part of the Similan National Park. Here the boat will moor for the night of your Snorkeling Liveaboard Thailand Safari. Dinner will be served on the way.  Reggae Queen will arrive at the Koh Bon Island at around midnight.
  • Day 1 – 07:00 wake up call followed by a great breakfast. First day of the Safari starts with snorkeling around Koh Bon Island which is famous for it’s Manta Ray Sightings. In the afternoon you will snorkel at Koh Tachai Island, which is also famous for its Manta Ray sightings.
  • Day 2 – Wake up in the Surin Island National Park, the place that offers Thailands Best Snorkeling Grounds. You also will visit the Local Sea Gypsy Community “The Mokkens”.
  • Day 3 – More fantastic Snorkeling around the Surin Island National park. After Lunch MV Sawan (Aka Reggae Queen) will sail back to the main land where you disembark at Kura Buri Port. Arrival at pier usually around 16:30. Minibuses already waiting for you to transfer you back to your Hotels in Khao Lak.

2 Day / 1 Night Snorkeling Trips

  • Day 1 – Transfer service from Khao Lak Hotels between 05.00 – 05.30 to MV Sawan at Kuraburi Pier, where you will board 07:00. Once all guests board the boat is sailing torwards Surin Islands where you will arrive around 11:00. 3 different Snorkeling spots are scheduled for your first day in the Surin Island National park.
  • Day 2 – 07:00 wake up call followed by breakfast. For the morning are scheduled 2 snorkeling sessions plus a visit at The Mokken Village, a Local Sea Gypsy Community. At 13:00 it’s time to say good bye to the Surin Islands. The boat will reach the Pier in Kuraburi around 17:00. The transfer back to Khao lak takes again about 1.5 hours, so back around 18:30 in your Khao Lak Hotel.

Additional Information

Due to insurance reasons MV Sawan don’t take children under the age of 7, disabled people and people older than 75 years on board.
