Those on holiday in Khao Lak, have chosen a quiet area with beautiful landscape. It is a great location as a starting point for a lot of fun activities, such as elephant trekking, white water rafting, bamboo rafting, sea canoe or explore Khao Sok National Park and surrounding area.
Khao Lak is very famous among Scuba divers, as from here you can easily take a diving day trip and enjoy diving at Similan Islands.
So the diving community is very important here and the most famous pub with live music could only take its name from a fish. The Happy Snapper Khao Lak! It is the place to go when on holiday here. Khao Lak night life doesn’t offer much as most of tourists are looking for a relaxing holiday dedicated to nature, snorkeling and diving.
But surely everyone likes to hangout until a bit late when on vacation and in Khao Lak the offer is limited, however this doesn’t mean that quality is low. The Happy Snapper has a great in house band that plays a great mix from rock to pop and Thai Music, making the atmosphere unique and really enjoyable.
The Happy Snapper Khao Lak has an excellent service, with snacks, cocktails, drinks and beers. At the Happy Snapper Bar you will meet some of most popular people around Khao Lak and probably your dive mater or your tour guide that lead the tour in the morning. It is the place where locals, people involved in the tourism business and tourists blend all together to chill out at night.
The bar has two levels and furnitures make it comfortable and easy, the staff is very friendly and will make you feeling at home soon. Surely will go there just for “one drink” however will stay until closing time 🙂
It is very easy to find the Happy Snapper Khao Lak Bar, as located on the main road from Khao Lak center heading north about two kilometre or just ask someone. Everybody knows the place. During a stay in KhaoLak it is a must to visit the happt Snapper at least one night.
Please note that during summer (May to October) the Happy Snapper takes a rest and it is closed.
